TiDolore

Research

The TI-DOLORE Clinic is actively engaged in advanced clinical research internationally. Our focus is on prospective multicenter randomized controlled trials, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses.

The main goal is to improve outcomes in chronic pain management through minimally invasive and rigorously evaluated interventions, with a focus on the role of psychological factors as modifiers of treatment response in persistent pain conditions.

Current research activities focus primarily on chronic spinal pain syndromes refractory to standard conservative therapies. In parallel, the TI-DOLORE Clinic evaluates and refines neuromodulation strategies, including dorsal root ganglion stimulation and spinal cord stimulation, for conditions such as chronic low back pain, painful polyneuropathy, and, more recently, restless legs syndrome.

Research at the TI-DOLORE Clinic takes place in a highly collaborative setting. Ongoing projects involve close cooperation with specialists in neurosurgery, neuroradiology, orthopedics, anesthesiology, and neurology, ensuring a multidisciplinary approach. The clinic is firmly integrated into an academic network, with established collaborations with the University of Lugano, Maastricht University, SUPSI, and the Institute of Clinical Neuroscience of Southern Switzerland (EOC).
